His hunt went on night after night. He tried every place in town that he thought might be a good spot for him to get some rest. Nothing worked for him.
One night, after several weeks of hunting for a place to roost, Ollie was tired and just needed a place to rest for a while.
He flew by a building that was different than all the others he had seen. It had a tall cross on the top and a bell under the cross.

Ollie, a little screech owl needs to find a new place to roost. He finds several places that just don't work for him until he comes across a wonderful place that has several reasons for being his "Happy Place."
About the Author
Deborah Allen taught elementary school for 31 years. She has always been fascinated with childrens’ interest in animals they don’t see often. She has published two other childrens’ books that were a hit with all the children who read them. Although her books are fiction, there is always something a child can learn from each one.
