Don’t Give Up!

I was at a swim meet watching the news before I competed. On the news, there was an article about a little preteen girl who committed suicide; it broke my heart. I couldn’t let that go. I decided that I had to do something about it. I am writing this to try to bring light into your darkness. I want you to know that you are not alone. I believe there is something powerful writing from the perspective of a teen who is going through the same thing you are.

I have many friends who have been led astray by today's society. I am hoping that this book will bring them back. If you are wavering between giving up, I want you to know that you are loved. Life is precious. If only the precious little girl knew that she was loved, she would still be here with us. If I spent over 1000 hours on this book and saved that one little girl, it would be worth it to me. You are going to face many struggles in your life, and I want you to stay strong. I am here to tell you that it is normal to have thought about suicide, because every teenager that I have talked to has. To be truthfully honest, because that is what this book is about, I have laid in my bed wondering what the world would be like without me in it. Jesus died on the cross, so that you don’t have to. When you feel the weight of the world on your shoulders, you need to give it to God. Take a deep breath and let it all go when you breathe out.

I want you to use what you have learned so far to not be defeated by your struggles. People think that life is full of sunshine and rainbows; it is not. Before the rainbow, there is always a storm. After the storms in your life, there will always be something beautiful that comes out of it.
