Come on an adventure to see what all the fuss is about. Is Jesus really Almighty God in the form of a man? How can that be? He is Spirit, we are created flesh and blood. Jesus says that if we don't believe He is who He says He is that we will not be getting our golden tickets to that train headed for the pearly gates.
Unlike ALL other religions in the world, Christianity offers the reader what none of them can. Proof. That’s right. Pure and simple proof. It’s proof that what it is claiming is and will come true exactly as it was written. You say how can you prove that? You can prove it by the Bible being believable in EVERYTHING it says. The Bible offers you proof and makes it believable by the way of the future events predicted in the prophecies. You say many people have predicted future events throughout history. Yes. You are absolutely correct. Many people have made predictions that have come true throughout the centuries. These same so-called prophets have also made many predictions that did not come to fruition, but none have been able to write thousands of specific predictions of future events and have every one of them come true exactly as they were written as the Bible prophets have. Not vague speech, but precise writings known as the prophecies.
Will anyone ever see GOD? Will our eyes ever behold the glory of our maker? Is the Bible contradicting itself? No, the Bible is not contradicting itself and it is truthful in what it says, and yes, of course you will see God! Scripture says that you will. You don’t have to fret any more. You will see GOD! He will be in the form of a man… Jesus in all His glory is what you will see. GODs Spirit lives in the physical human body of Jesus. Colossians 1:19 says, “For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ”. GOD in the form of a man is what you will see… and that man is Jesus. Crisis averted.
You will find all that you need to give you the faith that Jesus is truly God in the flesh.
Let's look at your spirit now. Yes, you are a spirit. You know that Christ is the visible image of the invisible God, Colossians 1:15. Christ is all we will ever see of God's spirit. Your body is what we see of your spirit. We are all made in the image of God. But Christ is “the” exact likeness of God, Hebrews 1:3. He is “the” image of God. We are made “in” his image. That's why we all look different and are not clones. Jesus is the exact image Of God. We are made in the image, similar. But not exact.
Can your body live without your spirit? No, it cannot. Look in Job 34:14 & 15. It says, “if God were to take back His Spirit and withdrawal His breath, all life would cease, and humanity would turn again to dust”. But your spirit can live without your body. We are all just spirits and God gave us bodies just as he gave Himself one. 2nd Corinthians 5:1-10 says we will not be spirits without bodies. As long as we live in these bodies (earthly) we are not at home with the Lord. Romans 8:10 states, “Since Christ lives in you, even though your body will die because of sin, your spirit is alive”. My point being is that Christ Jesus is the body that God lives in. Your body is where your spirit dwells. We have already seen in Colossians 1:19 that it says, “For God in all his fullness was pleased to live in Christ”. “All His fullness” it says. Not some or part, but ALL. Your body is where your spirit lives, all of it. Part of God lives in me, but not all of Him or the fullness. Colossians 2:9 goes a little deeper. It says, “For in Christ the Fullness of God lives in a human body”.
The “you” that makes up you is your spirit, not the physical body that you can see with your eyes. One day these bodies that we live in will rot in the ground. But one day, God will give us new, Spiritual bodies that will last forever. They will be physical and not ghosts like Jesus said to the disciples in Luke 24:39 when he appeared to them after He was crucified but before He ascended to heaven. He said touch me, I’m not a ghost. Unlike our bodies today, these spiritual bodies will go on for eternity and not wear out.
Do you understand now what your body is? It is the vessel in which your spirit lives. This body will die and turn again to dust. But your spirit that is the real you will live on. Jesus is the body that the Spirit of God lives in. Jesus is God in the flesh.
