Day 4 Be on Alert
Good morning, brothers!
"Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour. 9 Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith. Remember that your family of believers all over the world is going through the same kind of suffering you are." (1 Peter 5:8, 9 NLT)
We are on the same team and have the same opponent. This opponent is out to destroy us all! But we already have the victory! We are not fighting him for victory, we are fighting him FROM victory! Walk in the victory of Christ today! This opponent studies us and knows which buttons to push to make us stumble and fall. We have to be alert and recognize his tactics. They are not new, but they are subtle. If we are not on our guard, they can trip us up. Let’s not fall for his tricks or trust in your own strength. We must trust the Holy Spirit to guide us and follow His lead! Also, remember that we don't have to go it alone. We have other believers who can encourage us and share their experiences with us. We are in this together!

About the Book
As Christians, we are commanded to “put on the full armor of God (Ephesians 6:12).” Athletes know and understand that they have a uniform to wear that identifies which team they’re on and have the proper protection for the sport. Christianity has a uniform and it was designed by God to protect us on the battlefield. We are, therefore responsible to wear our armor daily to “fight the good fight of faith.” ArmorUp is a daily reminder that we must not only prepare for the physical battles we face, but also for the spiritual battles.
About the Author
Ray is a husband, father, educator, deacon and former high school coach who has spent years challenging young men and women to reach their fullest potential. His passion for obtaining and sharing knowledge has been evident his entire life. He continues share both his passion for learning and for serving the Lord Jesus and seeks to encourage others to pursue both as well. Ray and his wife, Pamelyn have six children and reside in the Pittsburgh, PA area.
