It Is Time to Elevate!

Elevate means to exalt, or to make exceedingly high. The Greek word for elevate is hupsoo, which means to lift or raise up, to exalt, or to lift the hand. This involves prioritizing or ranking over.

Seek the kingdom of God, above all else, and live righteously and He will give you everything you need. (Matthew 6:33 NLT)

This verse is simply telling us to search for God’s righteousness, peace, and joy through the Holy Spirit. I challenge you to search for the amazing secrets and keys to the kingdom so that you can unlock the mysteries of what God has planned for your life. Put prayer and study at the top position and keep it high on your daily priority list.

How many times do we look outside and blame the ills of society on other people and other institutions? What are we doing to make a difference in our own homes?

For the time has come for judgment (condemning wrongful behavior) and it must begin with God’s household, And if judgment begins with us, what terrible fate awaits those who have never obeyed God’s Good News?” (1 Peter 4:17 NLT)

We must return to God’s foundational plan for the family. It is time for the people who follow God to step up, step in, and step out into God’s plan and purpose to advance His kingdom on the earth. This book is designed to teach you how to fight for your marriage and family.

Nehemiah understood the urgency of his time and rallied the people of God to make a stand and fight.

Then as I looked (perceived) over the situation, I called together the nobles and the rest of the people and said to them, “Don’t be afraid of the enemy! Remember the Lord, who is great and glorious, and fight for your brothers, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your homes!” (Nehemiah 4:14 NLT)

The intentional plan of Satan is to completely disfigure the family because the family consists of a husband and wife and children, which is the very essence and image of God. Satan has used pride, temptation, entertainment, government, and education as puppets to do his wickedness against the family.

We must come to understand the bigger picture of how to utilize our spiritual weapons of God’s Word to stop and defeat the enemy and his evil agenda. We do this by living righteous, holy lives in Christ, studying the blueprint of life—the Bible—and declaring His Word over our lives and our families.

I am the first to say that my very own family has had our share of problems and mistakes. I have had my share of personal challenges and struggles, but God has been faithful to me and has favored me to do many awesome things I do not deserve. I know that I am what I am simply by the grace of God. In writing books, I am simply obeying what I believe God has inspired me to do and pointing people to biblical principles that are proven to bring success if they are followed by faith and prayer. I will be transparent in sharing the good, bad, and ugly moments of my life as a husband, father, and leader. I will share testimony of my family’s victories and how the grace of God has brought us through each trial and valley with mercy and grace.

Entering this book will inspire you to step up and fight for what is right. You will become hungry to step into God’s ultimate plan for your life and fulfill what you were born to do, which is to glorify God. When God’s kingdom is ushered into the spheres of influence, lives will be changed and saved from destruction. You will learn strategic principles that are aligned in truth and facts and that will raise your thinking. Reading these biblical principles will help you be a better leader, a better husband to your wife—or wife to your husband—and a better parent to your children. It will also help children see the necessity of honoring their parents.

As we can clearly see with the state of the family, times have changed drastically since the 1980s. God’s original plan is still relevant for today and must continue to be implemented in every generation. We cannot allow cultural and societal trends to dictate to us anything different. God’s way is the best way, and it has always been the best for the family.
