When You created me,
You cut my life to the length of a string
Then, You used Your loving grace
to warm me, as candle wax,
so You could mold me.
Until then, I was nothing more
than a useless peace of art,
residing in the dark struggling,
to hold on to my cord of life,
until I cried out Your Holy name.
That is when You picked me up
giving me life, by lighting the flame,
that became the fire,
of my identity.
Now, I understand
As I burn away each day of my life,
that I'm not becoming anything less.
In reality, You showed me
that I am becoming so much more.
And I can see evidence of that fact,
as my life begins to flow
because when I let my troubles melt away,
it frees my heart to hold more,
so I can share more, of Your love.
So my eyes were opened,
when I received Your light
it was then, that You told me,
I'd be spending the rest of my life
learning, to let it go.
Then You said, my purpose in life
is to show others Your light,
because the truth is,
that my life, was never mine,
To hold!

About the Author
These poems and stories are the direct result of the blessings that were given to me by My Lord for placing Him and His truth before my family. I chose to testify against my father for a murder he committed in front of me at the age of 13. I was disowned and hated for doing it by my fathers family. As time passed, I became more lonely until I ended up thinking about Christ on the cross saying “ Father forgive them for they know not what they do.” My heart was convicted and I had to forgive my family for the way they disowned me. When I did, a veil was lifted and I started seeing the world like I did as a child. These poems are my understanding of what God wants me to know about Him and all of lessons of His creations. May they bless you as much as they have me.
