Maxx and his mother get in the car and she begin to ask him about his first day of school. Maxx says, “Soooooo, once I got into class we stood to say the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag and everybody stood up except Vinnie, Chloe and a few other kids. I was like what is really going on here. Are we in a protest about the Pledge of Allegiance like they are on the football field? I was like should I get on one knee too? Kyla screamed boy please stop you are making me laugh. Maxx then said mom, after the rest of us set down Vinnie told me that he is Muslim and that he doesn’t say the pledge neither does not pray to Jesus. He said he prays to Allah, what is that all about?”
I thought that everybody prayed to Jesus! Maxx then says then Chloe, she jumped in and said her family is Hindi or Hindu. Maxx said what in the world is going on can we all just come together and say the pledge of Allegiance? He said in awe mom who doesn’t pray to Jesus? Kyla burst out into laughter and said boy please stop you are making my stomach hurt.
She then put her head down and lets out a great big sigh and mumbles under her breathe, “Oh Lord please help me, he’s at it again.”
