Loneliness struck Lambkin Lleyn, he expected his mother at any moment and tried to be as bold as Aries, his father. He knew that it would be wise to not show his family any fear, as they were to be brave enough to make it to the top of Great Hill.
Bagot, on the other hand, found it difficult to be brave, in fact he showed his own fear as he said, “I hear tell that Löwe the Lion hunts among these parts. I wonder if we could hear his roar this afternoon. Lleyn, your mother’s not back. Do you think that nasty old lion has gone and snatched up Ovis and Bünder?”
Lambkin Lleyn had his fill of that doubtful goat. Even though he had not grown his ram’s horns yet, still he dropped his head in anger and charged at Bagot with sod flying into the air. Lleyn stopped short of knocking that unsuspecting billy goat clear off the path. As soon as he stopped face to face with his heckler, he lowered his voice and said, “Stop it Bagot! That is enough!” Only this time there was no need for Angoras assistance. Lambkin Lleyn’s boldness was enough to silence that goat for a long, long time. Lleyn grew up in that moment, for he believed that anger and shouting is a rude mixture.

About the Book
In the grassy highlands surrounded by his flock and his friends, guided by Herdsman Böotes, his shepherd, little lambkin Lleyn is growing up. From grazing in the sunshine to fretting in the storm, he journeys through the recognizable seasons of life.

About the Author
Daniel Chapman and his wife, Teresa, are parents of six children and grandparents of nine. As senior pastor of RealLife Church of Ohio, family life is uncluttered and focused. With seven years of college studies and a B.A. in Leadership &Ministry, he and his wife developed a lifestyle of putting children first, allowing them to reach their fullest potential. Guided by God, he opens this potential to children of all ages.
