January 1
The Father - Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 2 Corinthians 1:3 KJV

January 2
Peace - Now the Lord of peace himself give you peace always by all means. The Lord be with you all. 2 Thessalonians 3:16 KJV
The Lord of Peace will always be available to you, at all times. Peace does not come easy; you have to seek after it. Seek peace, you will find it.
January 3
Peace - They must turn from evil and do good; they must seek peace and pursue it. 1 Peter 3:11 NIV
Avoid disharmony - I will seek peace and receive my blessings.
January 4
Fast And Pray - And when they had fasted and prayed, and laid their hands on them, they sent them away. Acts 13:3 KJV
Fasting and praying is a way to fellowship with God without food. Going without food is emptying yourself to focus yourself to rely on God to fill you with His strength and wisdom to move forward. You can fast and pray as an individual or as a group.
January 5
Great Are His Mercies - For as the heavens are high above the earth, So great is His mercy toward those who fear Him; Psalm 103:11 NKJV
We cannot image the meaning of "So great" any more than we can measure the distance from earth to heaven. But God's mercies are "So great", toward those with a Godly fear.
January 6
Walk - When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the LORD appeared to Abram and said to him, "I am almighty God; walk before Me and be blameless. And I will make My covenant between Me and You, and will multiply you exceedingly." Genesis 17:1-2 NKJV
The covenant with Abram was extended to me. Help me LORD to be blameless as I walk before You.
January 7
Praise The Lord - Let everything that has breath praise the LORD. Praise the LORD! Psalm 150:6 NKJV
All of God's living creatures should give admiration unto the LORD.
January 8
Help Me - But you, LORD, do not be far from me. You are my strength, come quickly to help me. Psalm 22:19 NIV
Lord, my prayer is I never feel Your presence is far from me. You are my strength. If I ever feel your presence is not dwelling in me, come quickly to me.
January 9
Salvation - The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.
Psalm 118:14 KJV
I will sing praises unto the LORD, the LORD is the giver of my strength, the LORD has saved my soul from sin. When I turned to Him, He began to be my salvation.
January 10
Hope - For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for? But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it. Romans 8:24-25 KJV
I am confident that my expected end will be living forevermore with my Lord and Savior.
January 11
Sustain - Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved. Psalm 55:22 KJV
The LORD can bear the weight of my burdens. I freely give my burdens to the LORD. The LORD will take my burdens and hold me up.
January 12
Life Up A Standard - So shall they fear the name of the LORD from the west, and glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of the LORD shall lift up a standard against him. Isaiah 59:19 KJV
There are times when we seem to be singled out for special events in your life. Just as the pressure from a flood can be overwhelming so can the pressures of life or special events in your life seem overwhelming. Although the pressures against me can be strong, God has given me the Spirit of the LORD, which is stronger.
January 13
Walk - And he blessed Joseph, and said, God, before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac did walk, the God which fed me all my life long unto this day, Genesis 48:15 KJV
My God is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. God will walk with me all my days.
January 14
Compassion - The LORD is gracious and righteous; our God is full of compassion. Psalm 116:5 NIV
God is faithful and His mercies endureth forevermore.
January 15
My Heart - Your word I have hidden in my heart, That I might not sin against You. Psalm 119:11 NKJV
The Holy Spirit brings to our remembrance the Word of God that we have in our heart and mind. He can only bring into remembrance what is within us.

This book is an investment not only for your immediate future but for your eternal future. The scriptures in this devotional helped me get through a difficult time in my life. Through my pain, I experience peace. You too can find peace, if you seek peace. As you go through your daily devotional you will find weekly “walk” scriptures strategically placed for your encouragement. Not Shown are 365 photos to brighten your day or night and to help bring to remembrance the Word of God. We had such an amazing time studying God’s Word and having Him illuminate his encouraging, thought-provoking, peaceful and comforting words to our hearts as we pined the words to paper. Isaiah 55:11 says, “So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing which I sent it.” NKJV
As you go from day to day or night to night, you too can start experiencing life in a ‘new’ light. It does not matter if you are not currently “walking” with God, if you are just starting to “walk” with God or if you have been “walking” with Him for years. You will receive and experience your blessing(s) as you turn the page to a new day each day of your life from year to year. This will be the one book you will need to get you through to the next year.

Cecilyn J. Washington is the wife of Rick Washington. She has a son, two stepdaughters, 6 grandchildren and one spoiled yorkie, Diamond. She is a member of the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She is the founder of Young and Seasoned ministry. She is the founder of C3 ministry (Christ, Conversation and Coffee). She sponsors a yearly grant for the ‘Desires of the Heart’ ministry. This is her first book publication.
Sharon Thomas is the wife of D. Scott Thomas. She is the mother of three and the grandmother of nine. She is a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She is the co-founder of the Young and Season Ministry. Sharon was a recipient of the ‘Desires of the Heart’ grant which lead to The Closet Ministry.
