My story begins here, though my life began a long time ago. I did not know that, however, until April 2009. At the time, I was 48 years old. Until then, I always believed in God and knew that He intervened in our lives on a regular basis. Yet, I never gave Him full credit, in spite of the many occasions in my life, when I knew He was present.
Suddenly, my whole life and the world became clear to me, though His eyes. It wasn’t the ‘near death’ experience many have read about, nor was it sudden and miraculous, yet the culmination of a series of events, circumstances, and spiritual awakenings. After resisting for years, I gave up and my new life began.

About the Book
This personal story begins in childhood and ends in adulthood, as a man faces choices about love, career, marriage, family, and life. Along the way, he faces uncertainty about his own place in the world and his relationship with God. The story is infused with humorous references to movie scenes and quotes, which engage the reader to follow along their own path to spirituality and salvation.
About the Author
He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology/Anthropology and a Master’s degree in Education. He worked for several years as a counselor and administrator in colleges and universities, as well as in a career consultant capacity with his own business, assisting individuals and groups with personal and professional goals. He served many years as a volunteer in education and church settings. His personal experiences have included many moments of joy, grief, uncertainty, and love, leading him to a special relationship with God.
