All the flowers bloomed, except for one bud. Her name was Lily. She grew a strong stem with nice, green leaves, but she never bloomed.
While Daisy, Violet, and Rose proudly showed off their new spring wardrobes, poor Lily began to worry. Wringing her leaves together she started to cry. Daisy asked, “What’s wrong, Lily?” “I am so afraid that I’ll never bloom, and I’ll always be naked,” she replied.

About the Book
While Daisy, Violet, and Rose proudly showed off their new spring wardrobes, Lily began to worry. While all the other spring flowers were displaying their beauty, poor Lily was still waiting to bloom. With many friends making several attempts to cheer Lily up, nothing seemed to help. What else could she do? Through the help of some unexpected guests in the valley, Lily learns of the great love of the Father for the world. Based on the scripture Matthew 6:28-30, this fictional story will help children understand that God cares for all that concerns us. The Late Bloomer is another addition to the “You Can Look It Up” series by author Kit Watson. This fictional story will help children have a better understanding of Scripture while teaching how to use the Bible.

Author Kit Watson is the mother of three and the grandmother of six. She resides in east Texas with her husband, Jay. Kit is active in ministry and enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
