About the Book

Whether you’ve had a miscarriage, stillbirth, lost an infant, gave up a child for adoption, or even aborted a baby – there’s grace for you here.

Adrianne Babbitt and her husband, Chuck, lost their son, Timothy Lyle Babbitt, May 9, 2016, due to a miscarriage – leading to the creation of Babbitt’s blog, which she titled “The Child I Never Held.”

After suffering such a devastating loss, she went through a whirlwind of emotions, including times when she was angry at God. She even went through periods when instead of being comforted by Scripture, it unsettled her.

By continuing to look to the Bible and her faith, however, she found the comfort and peace she was looking for – and she now believes that her story isn’t done yet. One day, she will see her son again.

Filled with Scripture, faith-based lessons, and accounts from individuals who have struggled with loss, this resource is a must-have for anyone struggling with grief.

About the Author

Adrianne Babbitt has been writing as long as she can remember, but for this particular book, her experience began three years ago. Adrianne and her husband, Chuck, lost their son, Timothy Lyle Babbitt, on May 9, 2016, and that’s when she and her husband began their grief journey.
At that time, she began a blog, entitled The Child I Never Held, and it has been quite the faith journey, which is now documented in this book. Even through the darkest place of their grieving, Chuck and Adrianne can confidently say they serve a good and merciful God, and He isn’t done with their story yet. They have hope that they will see our son again someday, and that’s how their grief is different than most.
Adrianne attended Moody Bible Institute, studying Children’s Ministry, and graduated with a BS in Biblical Studies. Chuck and Adrianne have done youth ministry together for over ten years. They have been married for seven years and have five children—four at home and one with Jesus. They are originally from Boone, Iowa, but currently reside in Spencer, Iowa. Adrianne loves to write, sing, play various instruments, be active outdoors, be crafty, and spend time with family.
Currently, Adrianne has her own Christian lifestyle blog, entitled The Haven, on which she regularly writes about the Bible, her faith, and living BOLD (beautiful overcomer loved designed). As a result, she has registered the trade name, BOLD & Beautiful, as her writing business brand, in hopes to expand it in the future. Her goal in writing is to reach others for Christ and help them live their everyday lives. Whether they are struggling or thriving, everyone can use the hope of Jesus Christ in their lives.
