Fredrick Gonzales has been an educator for almost ten years. Having taught Social Studies at the Secondary level he decided to write a children’s book based on his experiences in the classroom, like the use of smart-phones, ear-buds and headphones in school. In 2018 he received an award for the “Outstanding Teacher of American History” from the Corpus Christi chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Mr. Gonzales has been known to dress as characters from the past including the “Civil War” era. He also has a YouTube channel where he highlights some of these characters. Mr. Gonzales has both a Bachelors in Art and in History along with a Masters in Education and will soon be working on his dissertation for his PhD in Curriculum and Instruction, all from Texas A&M University in Corpus Christi, Texas.
