If Not “Pre-Trib Rapture,” Then What?

In the present book, this author wants to show how the various Scripture pieces all fit together harmoniously so as to paint God’s eternal plan and true vision of “one new man” (Eph. 2:15) for His people of the New Covenant (Jer. 31:31, Matt. 2:28). It is an attempt to “fill in the picture” of the eschatological puzzle using a cohesive perspective of the entire Biblical Scripture within a conceptual framework of two peoples, Jew and Gentile, united under one Messiah. Reinterpreting Daniel’s “last week” as a centuries-long extension of time rather than seven short years, all the symbolic concepts fall into logical place. For this, she avoids: 1) the Pretribulational concept of the “rapture” merely for the Church; 2) the Midtribulationist view of the Sixth Seal as being the mid-point moment before the “rapture,” and 3) the Postribulational perspective of Jesus’ simultaneous return for His saints and with His saints, among other things. From a positive perspective, she incorporates: 1) the Pretribulational idea that Christ will come for His saints at their resurrection as a distinct event from when He returns in glory with His saints at the second coming or Parousia, plus the global dominance of the “Antichrist” between these two events; 2) the Midtribulational understanding about the outpouring of the God’s wrath only upon unbelievers following the “resurrection” of the saints; and 3) the Postribulational concept of Christ’s appearance “after the tribulation of those days.” This perspective could be visualized as a Post-Tribulation / Pre-Wrath Rapture picture, though she prefers to call it her “Joint Christian and Jewish Resurrection Theory.”

About the Book
This book is a careful attempt to explore and “fill in the picture” of the eschatological puzzle using the entire Biblical Scripture cohesively within a conceptual framework of two peoples, Jew and Christian, who are His people of the New Covenant (Jer. 31:31; Matt. 2:28) united under one Messiah as “one new man” (Eph. 2:15). Using solid hermeneutical practices, the author attempts to disprove some major aspects of the Pretribulational “Rapture” theory because it produces a distorted picture of future events regarding the relationship between Jews and Christians. She has organized prophetic past, present, and future events into a logical and coherent sequence that more closely resembles historical reality and God’s eternal plans. At the end, she highlights some of the similarities between Christian and Jewish eschatologies, and then describes the final outcome of God’s purposes with mankind while offering some suggestions as to what Christians can do as they await victoriously for the converging of both eschatologies and the fulfillment of all things.
About the Author
In 1995, God began revealing His heart to this author and investigator regarding the Jewish people and His eternal plans with Israel. He also led her to go to Israel and she was able to live there among the Jewish people for a total of seven years, volunteering with an interdenominational Christian organization while at the same time learning about the Jewish perspective of Scripture and their own eschatological ideas. In 2011, she published her first book titled Rising to Everlasting Life: The Resurrection Texts for both Christians and Jews. In that book, she discussed the main Biblical and extra-Biblical texts that describe the final resurrection of the saints, comparing the Christian and the Jewish perspectives, and concluded that both are not only parallel, but identical, since they use the same Scriptures of God’s revealed truth.
For this present book, performing a rigorous investigation as objectively as possible, her foundational premise of “one new man” under the Messiah was the guiding light which illuminated her analysis and proposed theory. She wanted to limit her research regarding the often-times confusing pieces of the puzzle exclusively to Scripture and depend only on the Holy Spirit’s guidance to place them according to God’s divine order. His character and eternal purposes established the irrefutable and non-negotiable “borders” and “corners” of the puzzle as she began to fill in the picture around the main “centerpieces” of Jeremiah 31:31, Ephesians 2:15, and Matthew 24:29-31. After about 25 years of patient work to organize the pieces according to God’s perspective, while at the same time obtaining her M.A. in Theology from Liberty University and her Th.D. from Master’s International University of Divinity, she concluded that she can agree with a few elements of all three typical Tribulational Rapture theories, but her end picture is far different from all three.
