Introduction
God is truly my strength, our strength, and this book reveals that in multiple ways. Scripture was selectively chosen by what encouraged and strengthened me as I enjoyed personal devotional time with God. And I hope and pray that as you delve into the pages, whether it is during your devotional time or otherwise, that you too will be encouraged and strengthened.
Over the years, I’ve come to understand and learn the importance of having personal devotional time with our Savior and Lord. He draws us to Himself every day and longs to spend quality time with us. He delights in us, and as we spend time with Him on a daily basis, we find ourselves delighting more and more in Him and in the time spent with Him. Without a daily relationship with Him, I am powerless. With a daily relationship with Him, I am empowered and strengthened by Him. Jesus says, “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing” (John 15:5). Abiding in Jesus, daily living in and connecting with Him, is of utmost importance to our Christian journey. I pray that today you will commit, or recommit, to spending daily devotional time with our Lord and King.

About the Author
Elisa Rahming is a native of Nassau, Bahamas where she enjoyed growing up 5 minutes away from the beach. She’s a product of Christian Education from elementary school through her college years (Bahamas Academy of SDA and Southern Adventist University). She also earned an Associate degree from the University of the Bahamas (formerly College of the Bahamas) and an MBA degree from Georgia State University and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA). As the Treasurer/CFO of Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, a religious nonprofit organization, she embraces her mix of ministry, numbers, and visioning and delights in a daily relationship with her Lord and Savior.
