About the Author
Angela grew up in the inner city of Evansville, IN and married Jody Christie, who grew up in a small Texas city. His love for being out in nature opened new doors of opportunity an inner city girl never knew existed outside of books. Nature hikes, fishing in creeks and walks in the River Park brought us together. When we struggled with getting pregnant and our door closed on having a second child, my mind started creating vivid images of what could be. Then the contest at Princeton Public Library to write and draw a children’s book happen. With the help of her mother, Teresa (Tyler) Laffoon, Let’s Pick was created.
A daughter, a wife, a mother and now author, Angela Christie, leads a busy life. Angela has homeschooled three daughters from kindergarten to high school. “I once heard someone say, write what you know, lived and dream of.” I knew my husband and I loved being in nature. We found a great place to pick berries and we dreamed of more children. My books fulfill that statement completely!
