About the Book
Patty Lou is a little girl who loves to play baseball. She struggles hitting a baseball with a bat. The neighborhood children tease her and never let her play baseball with the other children. Patty Lou meets a fictional friend named Mr. Plank, who comes to life after her tears drop onto a lumpy piece of wood. Mr. Plank is an outcast and is a lumpy piece of wood that was not used in constructing Patty Lou’s house. Together, they help each other overcome their problems.
About the Author
Mr. Andréa B. Hairston was born in Danville, VA and at the age of eighteen joined the United States Marine Corps. After his military career he has worked for the Department of Defense, U.S. Treasury, U.S. Customs Service and the Department of Homeland Security. He is a poet, artist, Christian song writer, Actor, and a Christian Minister.
