God clearly tells us our ways and his are seldom the same. So even in prayer, we must leave room for his sovereignty to be expressed. He is just as at work when he closes a door as when he opens one; when he gives, as when he takes. We miss this because we are only able to see one aspect of any situation. God on the other hand, has already encountered and solved whatever it is we are stumbling into for the first time.

About the Author
Lauren E. Myers is a speaker, author of several books, and a registered nurse educator by profession. She studied pastoral counseling at Southeastern University and with her husband J. Edsil Myers, evangelized, planted, and pastored churches in Jamaica, the US Virgin Islands, and Florida . Her mission travels have extended to Africa, Canada, Mexico, the Philippines, and the West Indies.
