We are living in a time where everyone desires to be Free and to live a life expressed through freedom of expression and freedom of thought.  People want to feel like they are at liberty to make their own decisions and are not influenced by anyone or any source. Everyone wants to be their own person. Consequently everyone has their own idea of truth and what being Free is to them. Howbeit, regardless of what the facts may look like, God’s Word is truth and nothing else. Sometimes facts can be misleading. Within recent years a phrase was coined by black activist of urban communities called “Stay Woke”. This phrase meant to cause a person to read between the lines of society, and local and global governments, to be aware of white supremacy and the cause and effect of injustices in our current world. Although I do believe in this reasoning, I also do know that we have an overly conscious people who see conspiracy in everything with very little solutions to the problems they find to exist and have not researched those findings enough to discover the truth of some of these statistics. I don’t mind you telling me there is a problem but give me one or two suggestions on how to make it right. Where are my options? I am also not bought into a wicked and faulty system either, I understand that racism and sexism, schisms and isms exist but I choose not to glorify that but glorify God who has the power to defend and break the chains of such bondage. This does not mean that I do not believe in fighting for what is right and speaking truth to power. However, we are to do that with intelligence because done in any other way would be considered barbaric.  The Bible is clear on how to obtain true Freedom. You have to know truth and in order to know truth, you have to know who the spirit of truth is. You cannot know truth apart from being in a continual relationship with God and his son Jesus the Christ. Jesus said in the book of John; “Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come”. The Holy Spirit will guide you into the truth of a matter. If you are being guided by anything other than the spirit of the living God, you are going in the wrong direction. He is the light which lights the pathway of the direction that you should take. Here is why you need the light, because we live in a world of darkness. Which has caused man to live in bondage, deceiving them into thinking that they are free agents, when in reality they are in chains. Locked into the Matrix of life itself. Life without light. The prophet Isaiah said “To the law and to the testimony: If they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them” Isaiah 8:20. They have found another truth for themselves, which is not the truth but they honor it as truth. The prophet goes on to say “And they shall pass through it, hardly bestead and hungry: and it shall come to pass, that when they shall be hungry, they shall fret themselves, and curse their king and their God, and look upward. And they shall look unto the earth; and behold trouble and darkness, dimness of anguish; and they shall be driven to darkness” (Isaiah 8:21-22). When you don’t walk in truth, you will pass through life in the dark and when you realized that you are not fulfilled you will seek fulfillment from the earth and not receive it because the earth cannot give it. The only one that can bring you to purpose is God. We need more Christians to be light, live by expression of God’s light in a dark world. So that men can see our good works and Glorify God our Father!!
