About the Book
This book is meant to serve as an encouragement to children and their families who are facing a diagnosis, disorder, or defect. Miss Diagnosed teaches children that their identity is not in a label, but only in Christ and on what he accomplished on the cross. Just because the world would place expectations, limitations, or labels on the lives of our children, we know that Christ defines them as free, healed, and loved.
About the Author
C.L. McGinnes, MA lives in the Charleston area of South Carolina, but is originally from the first state, Delaware. She married her childhood sweetheart who she has known since she was seven in 2008. They have two amazing children together. When their daughter was born, the doctors diagnosed her with a birth defect. Their family was faced with the decision of settling with a diagnosis or to stand on God’s promises of healing for their daughter. This spurred C.L. to write this book for her child and every other child facing a diagnosis of any kind.
C.L. currently serves as the Director of Client Services for a local non-profit. In addition to being a writer, she celebrates her creativity as a singer/songwriter. One of the expressions of this is as a worship leader at her church. C.L. is passionate about pointing others to Christ so they may experience the fullness of a life with Him.
