One of the measurable changes we must see within the body of Christ it is a shift from a Priestly mentality to a Kingly functionality. For centuries we have excelled in in being heavenly minded, or to be priestly. We have focused primarily on evangelism, worship and serving but have been weak in the dominion aspects of our mandate to be Kings (which is to be earthly minded). It is a Levitical posture to be priestly, the Levites (which means to be attached) were never given a portion of the promised land because they had no desire for land their portion was to be attached to God therefore, they dwelt among their brethren and served them. The problem with this is God requires us to possess our inheritance. God needs someone to have a dominion attitude otherwise, like in the land of Canaan our adversaries control the territory. If you are priestly as a local body of believers, you will remain introverted and internalize your activity, having little impact in your community. This is why in the near future you will see a new paradigm begin to reveal itself, in the “manifestation of the sons of God” which is the revelation of a mature church that which will usher in the redemption of all things. Rom, 8: 19-23
However, when we learn to become Kingly, (Dominion Minded) we will be like Him and start demonstrating justice and mercy on those who like the adulterous women (sex outside of biblical marriage) John, 8: 3-12 whom He forgave and admonished her to sin no more. Many of today’s churches have not sought the kingdom of God and it’s righteousness but have rather opted to embrace ungodliness in order to stay culturally relevant. We are in much graver danger of God judging us first. Therefore, let us humble ourselves and pray that God might heal our land and cease speaking judgement out of our own fleshy convictions. If the world hates God because of what they see in us then we are neither his children or His sons, but when we learn how to love the way God loves that even the fallen angels will know the wisdom of God and that He was right when He chose us over them (Eph 3:9-12).
It’s the error of the Seeker Friendly consumer Christian Church model and one of the last vestiges of the entrenched strongholds of the adversary. It internalizes church into programs and activities that are self-serving and teaches that God is here to serve us and met our needs with little emphases on discipleship and equipping believers to maturity. The signs of a seeker friendly church are no accountability for its members, performance-based worship, little or no teaching or discipleship, multiply programs for children but almost nothing for adults, no regard for the sanctuary or any sense of Holiness in the assembly and a constant revolving door of people cycling through. Once spiritually hungry people see there’s no depth they typically leave as the leading of the Holy Spirit draws them towards more compliant church models, like the Apostolic, Prophetic church model. This emerging church paradigm will be the one that will usher in the unity of the church in this, the last season of God.
As continuing Global unrest grows in the nations now is the time for the church to rise to her potential during these latter days. I pray all those who claim to be followers of Jesus Christ seek God whole heartedly and find the destiny God has for them. I pray you find some wisdom in these letters that will benefit you and those you labor with. Lastly take comfort in the words found in Psalms 2, that in spite of the global unrest the churches best days are right in front of us. In the months and years ahead, the apparent warfare is nothing more than the enemy’s death throws as our adversary struggles with the reality that his time is near.
Psalms 2:1-13 Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying, let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us. He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: The Lord shall have them in derision. Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath and vex them in his sore displeasure. Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion. I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee. Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession. Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter's vessel. Be wise now therefore, O ye kings be instructed, ye judges of the earth. Serve the LORD with fear and rejoice with trembling. Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him. KJV
Remember when I was with you how the Lord spoke of you being a gateway church, so take seriously the responsibility to develop a church model that can sustain a large number of meetings and host the purposes of God. The churches in Durban, especially Thamo Naidoo ministry in Sandton SA excel in this and are a good example for you to model after being Gateway churches themselves. Remember the heart of God towards the sons of Ismael is full of redemption, love and healing, seldom in my travels have I experienced the warmth and generosity like I did among the people of Pakistan in Lahore. As the message of the Gospel spreads in Pakistan, I expect to hear great things from you.
Blessings, Madson
