p>Many Christians believe that our God is omnipotent (almighty, all powerful and the supreme one). We also believe that He is omniscient (all knowing, all seeing and all perceiving). We gave our lives to Christ with the expectation and excitement that our great God will take good care of us and our journey in life will be joyous, victorious and smooth. Many, however have been disappointed. Life has dealt treacherously with them and they have received many unexpected blows. Many asked, where was God when these things were happening to them? I once asked: God, were you on vacation? God, were you sleeping? God, did you forget me? What happened when these unpleasant and unexpected issues happened to me? Some people even turned back from faith in Christ. The disillusionment and non-fulfillment of the hope is not a failure on the part of our God. What then is missing, what are we doing wrong or what should we be doing differently?

I was once frustrated by lack of victory in my life, due to many delayed expectations and unfulfilled promises. My quest for understanding and desire for wisdom to live life well propelled me to the Holy Spirit. I began to ask questions, listen to his teachings and follow his guidance. The understanding and knowledge that I received has catapulted my life into a victorious one that is visible to people around me. I have been teaching this principle for about twenty-two (22) years and many people have been helped. The people that have been helped have been referring others to me. I have been teaching one on one for a long time. However, the teaching and discipleship is becoming very extensive and time-consuming. Lately I have received calls from people living in Europe, South Africa, Canada and many from Nigeria. The Lord led me to put this teaching in writing to lessen the burden and to reach many more that desire to be free.

About the Author
Dr. Olubunmi Aluko is a renowned prayer warrior and a member of Bethel Christian Church in Michigan, USA. She holds a master’s degree in education, and a doctorate in physical therapy. She is being used by God in intercession, teaching and mentoring young men and women in discipleship. She was born and raised in Africa before migrating to the US in 1994. She has three young adult children, Akintomide, Oluwatemilorun, and Toluwanimi.
