The Wage of My Sin
The crown of thorns they laid upon His head
Should have been mine
The scars that He now bares
Belong to me
He felt the pain and agony,
The clothes I should Have worn
He carried the cross, the scorn
And paid the wage of my sin
The nails, the hammer, the tree
All were meant for me
But He, the Savior took my place
He showed mercy and grace
Now I stand on solid ground
Because the Savior I have found
He took the wage of my sin
And allowed me to place it all on Him
He's Coming
Don't put your trust in the one
Who brings impending doom
Rather put your trust in whom
The wind and waves obey His commands
For He is coming with His mighty swift sword
He's coming, our Savior and our Lord
Coming to bring joy and happiness
Coming to bring healing, hope, and peace from distress
He's coming to reap the harvest
That has been sowed
Coming to get
His chosen ones
He's coming, quick as a flash
In a moment no one knows
He's coming with His army of angels
As long ago, in the Bible, it was foretold
He's waited forever
Or so, at least it seems
But He's here right now
Fulfilling the Christians dreams
As the story of old, fully unfolds
The dead in Christ shall rise
And those on earth quickly changed
Right before your very eyes
As the beast and his armies,
Run away in defeat
They will soon be kneeling at Jesus' feet
Proclaiming He is who He said He was
The King of Kings
And the Lord of Lords!

Samuel G. Mobley is a born again Christian who has been inspired by the Holy Spirit to write Christian poetry. He also writes songs as a hobby, but he really feels led to be a poet. He has a unique style that has a way of touching your heart and inspiring people to explore their own spirituality. He started his walk with Christ over 30 years ago and has kept the faith. Still, he longs to see others experience the joy of serving the risen Savior, Jesus Christ, just as he has for all these years. Sam has been a Sunday school teacher, choir member, praise team member, usher, and served in other positions within the church. His desire is that all people will come to repentance and no longer have the experience of being a “Lost Soul’.
