Suddenly, they felt a gentle breeze
They looked up and hovering over the trees
Was, Lilly, a glorious Angel in flight.
The bluebird sang out, “What a heavenly sight.”
Seeing her snowy white wings spread wide
The bluebird, bee, and butterfly sighed,
“We wish our wings were as white and fine
And glistened like yours in the bright sunshine.
Lilly spoke softly as closer she flew.
“Your wings are perfectly suited for you.
You see, it would be such a terrible shame
If your wings and mine were just the same.”
“Just think how dreary the world would be
If wherever you looked, all you could see
Were angel wings of Lilly white
With no other splendid colors in sight.”
“Whether your wings are brown as the wren,
Green like the katydid, or speckled dove gray,
You are a God-given gift from heaven,
A magnificent wonder in your own special way.”

Judith L. Cutright is an award-winning writer, producer, director, and on-air talent. With over 3 decades of professional experience in media communications, Judith has performed as a TV and radio talk show host, news anchor, and news reporter. Judith has served in various executive positions for major corporations. Judith founded her own communications firm in 1996 and assists global corporations, educational institutions, and non-profits in telling their unique stories and promoting their services.
Judith has worked with children in various venues, having cofounded the Creative Dramatics Workshop for Children to help young people build self-esteem and confidence. She has 3 children, 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren, who are Judith’s inspiration for her original stories told from her heart. Her unique, loveable characters help young children realize they are blessed and possess special talents to share with the world. Judith’s inspiring stories reinforce the message that through the power of God, young readers will accomplish Great Works. Currently Judith resides in Corpus Christi, Texas. Judith serves on several non-profit Boards to benefit her community.
