Every Sunday, Bransen and Lucas go to church with their Mom, Dad, and little brother Ryker. One Sunday their Sunday School teacher taught them about Jesus’ love for all people and all animals and all things. The boys pray and ask God to show them how to love others just like Jesus loves them. As they leave church, Bransen looks under their car and sees a little green snake. “Oh Mom, can we keep him”? asks Lucas, “He is lost and sad”. Their Mom says yes! Then she asks the boys “What will you name him”? Together Bransen and Lucas say, “We will name him. Paper Towel!”

About the Book
This is a true story of the love between two brothers and their pet garter snake named Paper Towel. It is a story of love and compassion toward God’s creations, especially those with disabilities. Paper Towel is written as a comical character who has feelings of love, sadness, hope, and playfulness. In the beginning of the story, Bransen and Lucas find Paper Towel and bring him home to live with them. The boys allow Paper Towel to play with them, and they learn to take care of him. However, as the story unfolds, there is a time when Paper Towel’s eye gets hurt in a tricycle accident, and he never looks the same again. Believing that it is time for Paper Towel to go live with other snakes like him, the boys sadly let him free to go live outside. They pray for his safety and hope he finds friends. However, within a few months, Paper Towel returns home because none of the other snakes would associate with him since he has an eye that is damaged, and he looks different than them. Bransen and Lucas are happy he has come back, and they continue to love and care for him. Through this experience, Bransen and Lucas learn the true meaning of showing God’s love and care toward all people and animals.
About the Author
Bransen and Lucas created the story about Paper Towel when they were ten and seven years old. The boys love to be outside, play with Legos and video games. They live in Fort Worth, Texas with their Mom, Dad, and baby brother, Ryker. They attend the Wills Point International Outreach Church in Wills Point, Texas.
