INTRODUCTION
“And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray as John also taught his disciples” (Luke 11:1).
Jesus expects us to pray.” Are you a practicing PRAY-ER? I want to believe that there is a regular reg-iment of prayer in your life, or you would have no interest in this Book. It not only can speak to you, but the entire Christian community. Sadly, Christians are not praying as they once were. Prayer is a lost art that needs to be rediscovered by professing Christians today. One alternate interpenetration of “Lord, teach us to pray. The lack of prayer is not in our “ability” to pray, but our availability. We know enough about the mechanics of prayer, but we lack the “will” to pray.
I want to address two primary issues with this book, “With Jesus in the School of Prayer.” First, teach us “to” pray. Second, “Teach us “how” we should prayer. We must learn the secrets of praying more ef-fectively. People are suffering under the plagues of sin and disease. Divorce is epidemic across this Land. The percentages among Christian marriages that fails is all most equal to the unbelieving popu-lation. Families are being ripped asunder. Precious souls are being lost daily.
There are certain components to prayer, and we may be missing them. The Apostle Paul said in Ephesians the six chapter, “for I wrestle not.” Where is the earnestness to our praying? Where is the urgency? Where is the agony in our praying? We need to learn these things and more. Prayerfully, reading, “With Jesus in the School of Prayer” is a good place to start.

About the Author
W. Dean Moore is a mature writer, pastor, evangelist, teacher, and missionary. He has taught Old and New Testaments at the college level. He has authored twenty-three books with religious and secular themes. Moore has served seven churches in Oklahoma as lead pastor. He was speaker on the “Herald of Faith,” radio program for a decade. Dean led a monthly forum on hot-button issues at the Public Library for seven years. He has been senior pastor at seven churches in Oklahoma. While serving as pastor, he conducted several fact-finding tours to Israel and the Old Soviet Union.
