OF OUR STRONGHOLDS ~
God sends his divine power to demolish our strongholds! A stronghold can be anything that keeps us from walking with God, such as gossip, stealing, murder, adultery, abortion, abusing our bodies, anger, lying, cheating, hatefulness - You get the picture! Our worldly ways can get the best of us. The good news is that we have scripture to go to, when we need a power bigger than us, to guide us.
2 CORINTHIANS 10:3b-6
We do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ. And we will be ready to punish every act of disobedience, once your obedience is complete.
Do you have a stronghold that you battle? Perhaps you may have more than one. I know I do! I confess my sins, daily (because strongholds are a form of sin). God wants us to recognize our sin and our need for Him. I read this scripture after I confess my sins, every morning. I then thank God for sending His Divine Power to Demolish My Strongholds. I recognize that my strongholds grow weaker, and weaker in time, as I praise His Holy Name, for going before me. His love does not weaken in spite of our strongholds. .NO WAY!
~ PRAYER MAY BE SOMETHING LIKE THIS: Father God, Thank You for going before me to demolish my strongholds. Who am I that you are mindful of me? They have such a grip on me that I can’t battle them on my own. I trust that You go before me. Show me Your Glory, LORD! I wait in hope for You! In Jesus Name I Pray, With Love and Thanksgiving.
Wow ~ how can this be that our God goes before us in battle!
He loves us that much, even when we’re at our worst. . . Well, we are His children you know.
Why wouldn’t He help us, we’re family!
