In this teaching of the Lamb of God, you will not only see the comparison between the timelines of Revelation and Egypt But, you will see how the kingdom of God was established on this earth during the time of Christ. Only to be rejected by both the Jews and the Gentiles of that time. First we will see how the kingdom of God will be established at the end of time as it is recorded in the Book of Revelation. Then we will compare that time to the time of Jesus Christ when He arrived at the Second Temple.
The Lamb of God
Revelation
Revelation 22
1 He showed me a* river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb,
2 in the middle of its street. On this side of the river and on that was the tree of life, bearing twelve kinds of fruits, yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.
3 There will be no curse any more. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will serve him.
4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads.
5 There will be no night, and they need no lamp light or sunlight; for the Lord God will illuminate them. They will reign forever and ever.
22:3 And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:
22:11 He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still.
In Revelation 22 we find the picture of the Lamb of God in his true setting. This setting is made up of the following points:
1) There is the Lamb of God.
2) There is the God.
3) There is the Spirit of God which is the light that will illuminate us.
4) There is the Tree of Life.
5) There is the River of Life.
6) There is the Twelve fruits.
7) There shall be no more curse
8) There is the filthy who are filthy still.
Now we will now see the same events in the timeline of Egypt as the Lamb of God will be shown in His true environment.
Egypt
Matthew
3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who has warned you to flee from the wrath to come?
3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up immediately out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:
3:17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
John
1:35 Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;
1:36 And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he says, Behold the Lamb of God!
1:37 And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.
Matthew
11:7 And as they departed, Jesus began to say unto the multitudes concerning John, What went all of you out into the wilderness to see? A reed shaken with the wind?
11:8 But what went all of you out in order to see? A man clothed in soft raiment? behold, they that wear soft clothing are in kings' houses.
11:9 But what went all of you out in order to see? A prophet? yea, I say unto you, and more than a prophet.
11:10 For this is he, of whom it is written, Behold, I send my messenger before your face, which shall prepare your way before you.
11:13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
11:14 And if all of you will receive it, this is Elijah, which was in order to come.
11:15 He that has ears to hear, let him hear.
As we see, in the Book of Matthew, Jesus says, John the Baptist is Elijah. Christians believe Elijah is one of the two olive trees, as seen in the Book of Revelation.
Revelation
11:3 And I will give power unto my two witnesses, and they shall prophesy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed in sackcloth.
11:4 These are the two olive trees, and the two candlesticks standing before the God of the earth.
11:5 And if any man will hurt them, fire proceeds out of their mouth, and devours their enemies: and if any man will hurt them, he must in this manner be killed.
11:6 These have power to shut heaven, that it rain not in the days of their prophecy: and have power over waters to turn them to blood, and to strike the earth with all plagues, as often as they will.
Now we can piece together the picture of the Lamb of God in his natural setting. During the time of Christ at the Second Temple. And, here are the comparisons:
1) There is the lamb of God who is Christ Jesus.
2) There is God who Speaks to the People from heaven.
3) There is the Spirit of God seen as a Dove.
4) There is the Tree of Life who is John the Baptist (Elijah).
5) There is the river of life which is the Jordan river.
6) There are the twelve fruits who are the twelve apostles.
7) There is no more curse as Jesus died on the cross for our sins.
8) There was the Filthy (Serpent and Vipers) represented by the Pharisees and Sadducees.
