The questions continue on…ad infinitum. How do we make the choice of faith valid? How is it that so many seem to leave a small piece of their self open to religious notions? How is it that there is such a huge gap between having religious notions and living a religious life? And as we try to answer these questions we see that the same problem that science faces is also faced by religion whenever it is treated as that which is scientific, that which can be dissected and explained, it becomes extremely complex and this complexity does more to bury the answers than to bring them to life. It is my hope that this book is not seen as some sort of attempt to answer philosophical questions but rather as just another hand in recovery that is reaching out to help an ordinary man or woman get through an ordinary day by becoming reacquainted with the living dynamic presence of God. This process is what I have come to see as a valid alternative to wrenching a tolerable existence out of a hostile world.

About the Book
This book is about fostering an examination of the individual and their inner self and how this examination can change the way they live their daily life. Oftentimes, people in recovery can be overwhelmed by a world that seems to have jettisoned God long ago yet gives no real alternative to find meaning and purpose. By using the book of Romans we can identify three dynamics of recovery which can allow us to see how the message of Romans still resounds today. When we realize our closeness to God and allow ourselves to join the process of our own transformation we can begin to celebrate the simple joy that is found in a heart full of grace.
About the Author
Charles Determan Sr. is an independent Christian Philosopher and graduate of Marquette University. B.A. Psychology. Married to Jennie and has three children and 4 grandchildren. Presently works in the manufacturing sector and is active in his church and recovery community and has recently completed one year of study at John Calvin Theological Seminary with an emphasis on Pastoral Care.
