Kent: God has created each human being with unique talents and gifts to do specific things with their lives. Many people do not discover those talents and gifts until they are very old and some people never figure it out. Many make their career choices based only on how much money they can make in a particular career. Don’t get me wrong, there is nothing wrong with making a good living. Why not make a living working in a career that is suited to your God given talents and personality?
Jackie: The next morning they performed triple-bypass open heart surgery. My handsome, strong, charming, young husband was now in ICU after open heart surgery. He was fighting for his life! Confusion and fear began to fill my mind and spirit. We had just began working in a small church, renting a small frame house, we had only the one meager pastoral income and no health insurance at all! I began to fret. Our plans for the ministry and a full life of helping others spiritually, emotionally and physically seemed to have now come to a halt.
My faith was wavering, my dreams and plans were shaken! At this time, God reminded me of the scripture, Isaiah 55:8 KJV, For My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways My ways, saith the Lord.

God has taken Kent and Jackie through many challenges in their lives. Kent was a small business owner for 20 years and is an accomplished vocalist and songwriter. Jackie retired from a county clerk's office. She was a Pastor's wife for 33 years with her late husband and is a seasoned vocalist and pianist. They met and married later in life. Together their life stories and ministry experiences offer the reader a unique look at the challenges, blessings and rewards of waiting on God and following His will.
