About the Book

In Matthew 6:33, we are instructed by the Lord to “seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” But with all the distractions of the world, it is all too easy to devote little to no time to God’s business. Instead, we focus on our own business, perhaps forgetting that God has a perfect plan for our lives. So how do we truly put God first in our lives?

God First reminds us that if we focus on the priorities of life that God has placed before us, he and his Word have assured us that he will handle all issues. Author and pastor Kenneth McMillan shares both the spiritual and practical tools we need to trust God’s Word and believe that he will do exactly what he says he will do, showing us how through trust, obedience, prayer, and action, we can be guided by the Lord Jesus Christ in the direction that he wants us to go.

When we do not put God first, there are consequences for our inaction, and the result can be collateral damage to our families and our relationships. But the Lord really wants to be a part of our lives and guide us, and if we truly put God first, then we can be propelled to higher heights and deeper depths in our daily and spiritual lives.
