With tears welling up in her eyes and spilling down her cheeks, Elizabeth moved to the bed where Charlotte lay and took her hand. Charlotte smiled up at her friend and said, "I just want to thank you for what you said to me about the Jesus cookies and what that empty tomb has meant to me. How can I ever thank you?" Squeezing Charlotte's frail hand gently, Elizabeth smiled at her old friend and whispered softly, "Tell it Charlotte."

This is a historical fiction novel written about a friendship and falling in love during post–Civil War times and is centered around a young writer and the story of the Jesus Cookies.
About the Author
Sarah (Kelly) Albritton is the mother of five and grandmother of eleven. She has a bachelor’s degree from Belhaven College and a master’s degree in English. Sarah loves family history and has a deep love of her Scottish Presbyterian roots. She is retired and lives in Clinton, Mississippi, where she has lived for the last forty-two years.
