"Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another." Proverbs 27:17 ESV. Where would I be today had God not strategically placed men in my life who would encourage me and hold me accountable. Throughout history men are told to "be a man" or "big boys don't cry", yet never offering an explanation of "what is a real man." Certainly the culture we live in today does not offer any examples as teen pregnancy, divorce and drug abuse are on the rise. Somehow we as a culture have created a fallacy among men to think we should not ask for directions and must be able to figure life out on our own. This of course is a lie from hell and I believe the very reason God placed the scripture of Proverbs 27:17 within our finger tips. Fact is men need men. We can obtain a greater journey of faith when we apply Proverbs 27:17 to our everyday walk. Think of your relationship with other men like a three legged stool. We all need a Paul in our lives. A Paul can be a man of greater wisdom and knowledge of the word. He can be there for you when seeking guidance. We also need a Barnabas in our lives. A Barnabas is an encourager, someone who will be there for us in times of difficulty, someone who will hold us accountable. We also need a Timothy in our lives. A Timothy would be that person you can invest into, teach and be that beacon of light as he grows into manhood. When you have these three types of men in your life, your journey into authentic manhood will flourish. Without any of these three men, like a three legged stool when a leg is broken, the stool will not support the weight or burden which has been placed on the stool.

About the Book
The state of manhood in America today has become a crisis. Men have lost their way and have become discouraged. For the past ten years, I have conducted immense studies and have been on a fact-finding mission to find what it takes to be a real man in today’s world. Our families and our communities are hurting today because authentic manhood is lacking in our culture. Through years of sitting in the foxholes of life with other men, I have found there are ten strongholds that are keeping men from being the man God is calling us to be. This book will offer a strategic battle plan on how to confront and defeat strongholds men are facing today.
About the Author
Ernie Stuckey, was born in Brunswick Georgia in 1956. His most important day was on January 8, 2006 when he accepted Jesus Christ as Lord over his life. Ernie excelled in sports in school and has been a successful athletic coach winning three consecutive state championships and a national runner up in softball as well as a 100-game winner in football. Married to his wife, Robyn, for over 40 years, they have two daughters and sons-in-law with four grandchildren. Currently, he serves as an operations manager at the same company for over 30 years with 45 years overall in management. In 2009, Ernie founded the Family Driven Softball League which creates fellowship among other Christian churches. In 2016, he founded the Christian Men’s Association of North Florida. Through regular monthly meetings this organization has promoted men’s ministry within local churches. In 2018, Ernie founded Encourage Ministries which provides free spiritual coaching at no cost for those in need. In 2019 Ernie founded Robyn’s Hope, a ministry dedicated to help find a cure for Huntington’s Disease. For the past ten years, Ernie has served in several ministry positions including director of men’s ministry and director of deacons at a church of more than 1,500 members. He has served as guest speaker for many churches, men’s groups and small groups. Ernie has recently returned to where it all started for him at Springhill Baptist church in Fernandina Beach, Florida where he serves as leader of the men’s ministry.
