About the Book

Purple Parables: Snippets from Life is a compilation of stories covering a lifetime. Each story can stand alone as a devotional because each presents a picture of what the Lord teaches through everyday events. As each of us grow older, we are privileged and blessed to look at life through the lens of hindsight and see His handiwork.

About the Author

Sandy Goforth is a late blooming writer. Her first written work encompassed taking her passion for the flora, fauna and the exquisite designs of Hawaiian quilts. She created a series of children’s stories. She became a contributor in a book, entitled, Called from Within: Early Women Lawyers of Hawaii. She branched out and wrote a newspaper column. Sandy grew to love Jenny Joseph’s poem “When I Am Old” when she was invited to join the “Red Hat Society. She had always journaled and as she reviewed her journals, she saw a pattern emerge; God’s revelation in daily life. Thus, Purple Parables: Snippets from Life came to life.
