Corruption and its acceptance are splashing our headlines again today! It has become the new norm to see how much one can involve their self in vile deeds and not be held accountable. And in a nation that is made of people by the people we stand idly by allowing it to happen on a larger scale and on a more frequent basis. Godly people must not only believe in Gods Standards, but we must hold those who represent us, accountable for holding and adhering to those standards. Yes, I believe in Mercy and Grace as I have been the recipient of those gifts many times in my life. But along with those gifts came an understanding that I needed to repent, turn from those things, and go a different direction. Not try to get by with more the next time. For most folks splashing the headlines today there is no indication of repentance. Just a desire to do more and do it more often. Almighty God we need Your help, and we need to be a people worthy of the blessing of democracy that You have allowed us to have.

About the Book
Over five years ago, God directed author Jerry Gano to pen daily posts on social media. Over a thousand posts later, Gano’s bite-sized Biblically inspired observations are collected in one place as Briefcase Wisdom for a Backpack Culture.
For each day of the year, Gano has constructed a short, relatable devotional, accompanied by a corresponding Bible verse. He intends to enlighten the curious reader with scripture and his own observations based on years of study and prayer, in turn bringing them closer to Christ.
Gano has experienced trials, heartache, sickness, and pain. The enemy of his soul has attacked heartily, but he is sure of one thing: if God goes before him, who can stand against him? We are nothing, in and of ourselves, but with God leading and directing our paths, everything will turn out okay.
About the Author
Jerry Gano is a passionate Christ follower whose social media posts have educated and inspired many. Jerry currently resides in Hill City, Kansas. This is his first book.
