There are many books about the biblical prophets. Most of these books focus only on the male prophets. The purpose of this book is to place emphasis on those prophets who were female, their story, their message, and their audience. The female prophets covered in this book are: Miriam, Deborah, Huldah, Anna, and the four daughters of Philip. Each of these women were called "prophets or prophetesses" by the final editors of the Bible.

About the Book
This book highlights five female prophets that have prophesied in both the Old Testament and New Testament. The book encourages women to accept their calling from God at whatever level God appoints them. Too often the female characters in the Bible have all been lumped together under the category women in the Bible. This has diminished the role women like Deborah and Anna have played in God’s plan for salvation. God is no respecter of persons. God uses whom God chooses, no matter the gender.
About the Author
Dr. Bass is a minister in the A.M.E. Zion Church. She has been in ministry for over 41 years. She has pastored many churches and traveled the world. She has taught at the college level for the last 20 years in the state of Alabama. She is a widow and the mother of 1 son. Her call to the ordained ministry has presented her with many challenges which stem from patriarchal interpretations of the scriptures.
