Turtle’s Triumph

Turtle dug a hybrid space in the soil there
To mark a middle ground that may learn to bear
The diverse perspectives on questions she met,
Then she began her walk toward the riverbed.

Delighted to find Owl and Bluebird on the way,
Turtle joined to listen to what Owl had to say.
Of all the forest floor, this seemed most fertile
To grow new ideas and plants in rich soil.
Then began the planting of radishes galore!
Each one cleaning toxins from the body’s core,
Building immunity, a healthy heart to restore,
And help the body fight pollutants in the air.
Parsley and spinach were also planted there.

Broccoli sprouts contain the richest of compounds:

By inducing enzyme expression to fight the stress
Of air pollution on the lungs, otherwise blessed
