Christmas comes every year and brings with it the excitement and celebration of the birth of our King, Jesus Christ. This story is inspired by the simple yet powerful words, “Every day is Christmas.” It is a reminder of God’s greatest gift and the everyday gifts that are so often overlooked.

About the Author

Gracie Mendez was born on September 11, 1956 and raised in La Verne, California. She married her Jr. High sweetheart, David, in 1975. In 1977, they moved to Riverside, CA. where they made it their home and raised four wonderful children. Their children have since grown up and have blessed the family with six grandchildren. Gracie was incredibly creative in a variety of areas such as, quilting, sewing and drawing, but has always had a passion for writing. Although she wrote articles for a local newspaper for a short time, the majority of her writing can be found in her personal journals, devotionals, letters, poems, and personalized cards for family and friends. Gracie self-published her first book, “It’s Not Time Yet Tim” in 2013. The inspiration for her writing came from her deep love for God, her husband, children, and grandchildren. Gracie went home to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ, on February 1, 2017, leaving behind a written treasure trove of writing, which continues to warm hearts and bring smiles to her beloved family and friends. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and actions of those whose lives were touched by her grace, faithfulness, sacrifice, and love.
