Day 46
SEPTEMBER 15
Be an Example
1 Timothy 4:12
Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.
Even though Timothy was young Paul encouraged him to be an example to the believers. You too, though young, are to be an example to the believers. Be an example by
• Believing only the Word of God, nothing else;
• Ensuring your conversations are good. Are the conversations you have with your school friends the same as you have with your church friends?;
• Showing God’s love to everyone, not a select few;
• Having a good attitude in doing your tasks and in communicating
• Being faithful and pure
• Being honest
PRAYER: Lord, please give me grace to be an example to other believers.
Day 48
SEPTEMBER 17
Prepare
1 Samuel 17:40
And he took his staff in his hand, and chose him five smooth stones out of the brook, and put them in a shepherd's bag which he had, even in a scrip; and his sling was in his hand: and he drew near to the Philistine.
David was going to fight Goliath and he made preparation. The first thing he did was to take his staff. The second was to choose five stones from the stream. The third was to put the stones in his bag. The fourth was to take his slingshot in his hand. Having his equipment, he faced Goliath.
Preparation is a key ingredient for success. Whether you want to overcome a limitation or achieve a goal, you must prepare. Your preparation should be systematic. So, to succeed as a student you should make a study timetable, follow it, read ahead of your teacher, participate in class, ask questions, do homework. Also, be honest about the areas where you are having difficulty so that arrangements can be made for you to get the necessary help.
DECLARATION: I will prepare for my success.
Day 139
DECEMBER 17
Secret Ingredient – Wisdom
Proverbs 8:12 (AMP)
I, Wisdom [from God], make prudence my dwelling, and I find out knowledge and discretion.
Do you believe that all things that are needed by human beings have been discovered? Even if you think so, I am pleased to tell you that there are still many things to be discovered. You will need experience, good judgment, understanding, insight, foresight and perception from God to make those discoveries. Study wisely and ask God to show you inner truths (insights) and provide you with the drive to succeed by applying good judgment.
CHALLENGE: Spend three sessions, of two minutes each, asking God for wisdom.
