A Charge to Change

Introduction

When I imagined the things that I would accomplish in life or things that I wanted to accomplish, I must say that I never envisioned myself writing a book. I never thought this was something I could do. Writing this book has been a long journey. I went through many days of having writer’s block, and I just couldn’t concentrate. I realized that some of the blocks that I endured were for a reason because I learned so much more information after those periods of time. When you grow, you experience some great moments as well as some not-so-great moments. Life does have challenges in areas such as finances, happiness, health, relationships, and other important areas. The one constant is learning to go forward while maturing and learning. The one thing I’ve never done is count my problems or try to figure out how many times something has occurred. I just try to roll with the punches, but I also try to stop them. Life should not always be about bad things and bad thoughts.
My belief is that if you poll a hundred people and ask them about their overall life, whether it is great, average, or not so good, there will be more who say average or not so good. The factor in that type of result should be what we focus on the most. Why would I consider my life as average or even worse? Typically, there are some failures or things that did not go right that prompt an answer like this. I have spoken to many people to determine the pulse of their lives, and so many have difficulties based upon conditions and not being willing to adapt to the changes that occur. When you realize that life often poses a challenge, you have to learn, grow, and educate yourself; every day is a classroom, and there will be homework. Life is figuratively a daily classroom with many lessons given out. There are some daily lessons that we have to come up, but there is always a way to get through it. Some things in life are more difficult to handle than others, but if you really focus, you’ll come up with the best possible solution and get through it.
Everything around you changes so abruptly. Some changes are gradual, precise, or even impractical. Changes can be easily solved or can be challenging. Changes can be exciting or exhausting. Whatever you are faced with, you have to deal with it head on. There are many great things to experience in life. Almost everything in life will evolve in some way from its earlier state or condition. Clearly, your body structure will change from a newborn into what you look like at this moment, but the body doesn’t stop there. I can do specific things to adjust into my adult years, but it requires me to make some choices in order to keep my body healthy.
In the end, life proves that change will occur, whether you’re ready for it or not. If I had to rate my life at this moment, I would tell you that I’ve had a great one. I’m not just saying that. I really would say it has been a great life. I can’t rate it as average or bad just because I’ve gone through some difficult moments throughout my lifetime. I see it like this: Just because I fell off my bike the first time I got on it doesn’t mean that I don’t find enjoyment on my bike. I just had to learn from the fall and delay the excitement until after I mastered how to ride. Can I tell you this? I loved riding my bike once I learned, and still to this day, bike riding is a hobby I enjoy. The fall that occurred while learning just taught me that I don’t like that feeling, and I needed to work harder to avoid that experience.
