We have enjoyed our own direction in life and professional work of many years of different responsibilities. From early childhood throughout adulthood we remained close to Jesus Christ, particularly by way of our personal prayers. We are neither ordained ministers nor graduates of theology or religious studies. The canvas of our spiritual feelings is painted with evidence of prayer. We believe that Jesus died on the cross for our sins so that we might have life without end. Hence, it is our belief that God exists and that He is the Kingdom, Power, and Glory forever. This belief gives us hope of eternal life in Heaven. This is itself our credential of faith that guides and supports our passion to write on behalf of The Lord’s Prayer and what it means to us. This feeling we live with was instilled in us from an early age. Both our father and mother took us to the First Baptist Church in Leesville, Louisiana where we were baptized at 12 years of age. As you may know, baptism means to dip or immerse a person into water for religious reasons. In the opening gospel stories of the New Testament, John the Baptist baptized his disciples at Bethany beyond Jordan where Jesus met John and was baptized by him (John 1:25-34).

About the Book
One critically important step in dealing with life’s dilemmas and unpleasant experiences is to trust in Jesus Christ as the Son of God and say “yes” to prayer. This means trusting in God to help live in the present. It means pushing aside doubts and relying on The Lord’s Prayer to affirm the good in life for Jesus said, “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world” (John 16:33). Life is not hopeless.
About the Author
Late in the evening while completing a boat ride on the Taylors Bayou in Southeast Texas, Ed and I decided to write a book about The Lord’s Prayer. After almost a year we compared our notes and the effects of reading and analyzing the prayer. We were shocked to find how comforting it was to say The Lord’s Prayer. We examined the prayer line by line and ultimately felt the need to share what we had learned. Neither of us can imagine living day-to-day without the spiritual comfort of being with “Our Father In Heaven” and knowing that God forgives us of our sins as we forgive those who have sinned against us. Thank you Jesus, the Son of God for dying on the cross for our sins and for sharing The Lord’s Prayer with the disciples.
