A fatal heart is what they called it. Physician after physician had been called in to attend to young Princess Kemarah and her aching chest. In the end all they could do was scratch their heads and exclaim, “A fatal heart! That is what it is. This child holds a fatal heart within her.” No one fully understood what that meant for the young Princess. All they knew were the episodes of pain and fear she'd experienced on a daily basis. They traveled near and far in search of what could cure the young girl, but always found more questions than answers. Through it all the Princess wore a brave face because as long as she was searching she would find answers, right? Through the pain in her heart she also felt hope. There was an answer and it would find her--she just had to keep seeking.

Morgan O’Leary (Smith) was born in El Paso, Texas with a passion for reading and writing at a young age. There was no doubt in the minds of those around her that when she grew up she’d eventually go on to write books of her own. She now resides in Colorado with her husband and daughter, living out this dream.
