If we really love Jesus, then we need to care about the sin that goes on in our hearts and in our lives. We need to care enough to want Him to help us see it and we need to care enough to surrender to His plan and believe in His power to set us free from sin. Today, as we look at how we walk out our lives, if we see any place where Jesus is speaking to our hearts about how to walk in love (the way He would want us to) let’s not harden our hearts, but rather become obedient and surrender our hearts to be guided by His perfect plan. Let’s give up on our useless and dead way of works and enter the rest that can only be found in trusting in His perfect plan. We will find the true power of our Christian walk of faith when we find that brokenness that leads to a complete surrender to seek Jesus’ way in how to walk out our lives. Then, all the fullness of the fruit that comes from a sanctified walk will truly be ours. Today, let’s make a choice that will change our lives forever by committing our hearts to listen to and obey the quiet whisper which comes into our hearts and our minds from the Spirit of Jesus Christ to lead and empower us in how to walk in His perfect love.

About the Author
Don Latimer grew up in a family of ten children. As a young man he became a carpenter by serving an apprenticeship with his father and uncle. Over the years he honed his craft by observation through trial and error as he went on to build boats, remodel and build new homes and eventually transition his work into a focus on decorative finishes using cement plaster as his medium. His journey and walk with Christ happened in a similar way. He watched, listened and read his Bible as he practiced his faith. When he came to a place where his heart was opened to look honestly at himself, his faith and his walk with the Lord then his whole life changed. His heart was ready to receive what Jesus had wanted him to have from the moment he had believed.
Don lives with his wife Michelle in Washington State. They were married in 1971 and again in 2010. They have three children and seven grandchildren.
