Who Do You Say That I Am?

The men reclined at the main tables while the ladies had separate tables closer to the area where the food was kept. The food was in various baskets and jars and seemed to be limitless in supply. The wine was in large jars that help 30 gallons of wine. These were usually for collecting water from the spring rains.
The days began to run together but I believe this happened on day three. These men showed up and joined Mary, Joseph’s wife. I hadn’t seen him in a few years but I believe it was her son, Jesus. I wasn’t trying to ease drop but I couldn’t help but hear the most odd conversation. They didn’t talk softly and I was there nibbling on some dates and almonds. Mary told Jesus there was no more wine. What did have to do with wine making? Did He start a vineyard nearby? There wouldn’t be time to go anywhere and fetch more. What did she want Him to do?
His response was puzzling to me. He questioned her as I would have that what did the lack of wine have to do with Him? What did He mean when He said “His time had not yet come?”
All the sudden the music got louder and a new group of dancers enter the courtyard. I got lost in their spins and the rhythm of the music. Jesus and Mary were no longer where my attention was. After the dancing was over I looked back in the direction of where Jesus and Mary were talking. I didn’t hear their exchange but she’s a Jewish mother so I would assume there was some guilt she placed on Jesus.
The most peculiar thing happened next. Mary instructed the wine servants to do whatever Jesus told them.
I thought He is going to instruct them to go somewhere and fetch more wine. But that isn’t at all what He did. He told them to fill the six jars with water. Once filled to the top Jesus instructed the servant to draw out a glass and take it to the Master of the Banquet. Why would He send a cup of water to the master? Water was for cleaning and ceremonial cleansing; not for drinking at the banquet. As the servant passes by me I noticed this water wasn’t clear, as it had gone into the jar it was ruby red like the finest wine. I rubbed my eyes. What kind of trickery had Jesus and Mary pulled? I know what I saw. I just don’t know how this water had turned to wine.
The banquet was a buzz over the new wine being brought out. This wine was the finest anyone had ever tasted. Even as I drank and tasted for myself I didn’t know how this could be. Had Jesus turned this water to wine?
As I sat there pondering and sipping the sweetest wine I had ever tasted I was once again lost in the music and dancers. I don’t know how He did it but Jesus had made the water into wine. When I went to lay with my husband that night I told him all I had heard and seen. James just patted me on the head and said the heat and wine must’ve gone to my head. For the next three years I would hear of more signs the Jesus had done and wonder about that wedding day in Cana.
