Valentine's week came and the women at the beauty school were actually sending themselves flowers to compete with other students. It was crazy to watch their behavior toward one another and I was not about to join them. However, my reality was that my sweet husband was dead and there would be no flowers for me this year. So Monday through Thursday, I found myself grieving and crying out to God in the bathroom at school. I kept praying that I would survive the week. Nobody knew my feelings or actions, nobody but Jesus!
Friday was the big day, the 14th. At 10 am I heard someone call my name. I was busy with a client and turned around to see a couple from my church standing before me. In their hands they held a gorgeous floral arrangement. I was shocked! I hardly knew them, but they said God had been telling them to buy these flowers for me and deliver them to my school on the 14th. They said, "we hope this makes things easier to bear for you today Donna." They turned and went out the door. It just happened the flowers were the exact arrangement my husband always brought me. Six red roses, six pink carnations with babies breath and ferns. They had no way of knowing this. The arrangement was huge and lovely. The reaction of the other students was wild and I heard, "Oh, Momma Donna has a man in her life!" I told them, "Why yes I do; meet me for lunch and I will tell you all about him." I had an audience that day as I told them the story of my flowers. Now that is something they will never forget, and neither will I!

About the Book
I have heard it said that we should not look behind us because we are not going that way anymore. Behind me lay much brokenness and sorrow, but God in His great love chose to redeem all of the mess called “me”.
In the everyday events of my life, He began to reveal himself as my Father and the lover of my soul. This book describes the many adventures He took me on as He changed me from the inside out. It is true that God sees into the deepest parts of our souls. I am honored to share how the Great Physician cut to the core of my deepest wounds as He healed me and set me free.
About the Author
Donna Gurth Hopper was born in Fairbanks, Alaska but her dad’s job transferred his family back and forth to Washington State four times. She lived a total of twenty-one years in Alaska, experiencing several earthquakes and a serious flood. After Donna was married, the family moved to Washington State in 1983. She was suddenly widowed in 1990. Donna raised her children alone, trusting in God for family needs and with starting up her own hair salon business. She enjoyed hosting several foreign students for 12 years and was actively involved in her church. Donna remarried in 2013 and was ordained in 2014. She serves by her husband’s side as they minister to the body of Christ in their local church. Bud and Donna have made their home in the beautiful Pacific Northwest where they enjoy the simple pleasures of life with family and friends.
