Deacon Imready was one of those deacons that every pastor looks for in church. He was a forward thinker, and a forward mover. He was a delight to Brother Perry’s heart and a thorn to many of the members. His gung-ho attitude seemed out of sync with a slow moving church like Slowerinfudge. But as in all churches, without an Imready, the stew would never reach a boil.

After forty-five years in ministry and hundreds of unique experiences in the life of “the church”, Ronnie Mitchell will challenge and entertain the reader to ask tough questions about the church and think hard about where the church has been and most importantly where it is going. He writes with a pastor’s heart and with a blend of humor and sarcasm he captures the reader’s heart.
Dr. Mitchell is a graduate of Mississippi State University, New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and Southern Baptist Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. He has been married to his wife Sheri for 49 years and has two children and four grandchildren.
