“We must ask ourselves a simple, basic question—are our churches following the word of God, yes or no? I’m referring to any church that does not follow biblical doctrine, whether Catholic, Protestant or Jewish. The only way to know is to evaluate the catechisms taught by your church and compare them to God’s Word and nothing else. That’s the standard we should use and by which God will judge because in the end, when heaven and earth pass away, His word will be the only thing standing as the Bible says. We strongly believe in the tenet expressed in the Acts of the Apostles related to the New Testament Church, and that is the church being of one accord, of the same mind, continuing steadfastly in the apostles’ doctrine, etc. Acts 2:42-47. The apostles continued steadfastly in what Jesus taught but today, that is hardly the case as evidenced by splits from the original doctrine of Jesus and the apostles into various denominations, factions, and groups, each doing its own thing. No matter what denomination the church labels itself, if it is not operating under the canons of Scripture as did the early church and not following New Testament guidelines, it is not the church that Jesus built. You are operating under the church that you built which the devil can prevail against. Jesus said, ‘Upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.’ Did you notice the pronouns I and my? And did you notice Jesus did not say man will build my church. He didn’t because man is flawed and has a tendency to do what he wants to do and not what the Spirit empowers him to do, and that is exactly why the devil will prevail against a church man builds. Some church leaders have a tendency to build themselves up and might say something of what Jesus taught but much of their preaching centers on positive thinking, self-motivation and prosperity. Nothing wrong with those things but they should not take center stage when compared to what Jesus said through the apostle Paul, that is ‘preach the Word’….not self-motivation or positive thinking, self-help books, or five steps to realizing your dreams or seven steps to this or that.”

As long as two people live by the word of God, their denominational affiliation is irrelevant. Secondly, I do believe wholeheartedly in what the CCUC is doing because their motive is pure, there’s no hidden agenda. Where are our biblical leaders today, the Abrahams of faith; the Josephs, Davids, Daniels, the true worshippers of God; where are the bold Isaiahs and Jeremiahs, the Peters, Johns, Stephens and Pauls—those unafraid to stand for what is right even at the risk of persecution? Where are they? I say”—she stepped sideways and waved her arm—“they are all behind me, and perhaps out there as well, ready to take a stand not for religion, not for a particular church, but for the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It takes integrity and courage in the face of persecution and opposition to stand firmly for what you believe, to confront errors and misuse of God’s Holy Word. They are completely committed to their cause and I, as well as many other Protestants, stand with them. When we all get to heaven, our religious denominations won’t matter and neither will our incomes, social standing, the number of prayers said or pilgrimages made, or ceremonies and rituals we kept or how spiritual or holy we think we are. Some may not like it, but we all have the same color blood and we’re all saved by the same spilled blood. It’s called equal opportunity salvation, and we’re all on the same level: rich and poor, black and white, president and garbage collector, pope and janitor, CEO and maid. Proverbs tells us in chapter 22 that God is the maker of both the rich and poor. He won’t ask, ‘Were you Catholic or Protestant?’ He’ll probably ask, ‘I gave you my Son….What did you do with Him?’ That’s the primary thing. Hopefully, that answered your one question?”
