About the Author
I don’t remember when I developed such a love for animals. It may have started when my daughter grew up and moved away. My first real pet was a dog, but after she passed away, I didn’t want any more pets. Over the years, that all changed. I am retired now and I have a lot of time on my hands. I have gotten in the habit of sitting in my den observing the animals that wander through my back yard — cats, dogs, raccoons, possums, squirrels, birds; you name it. I try to imagine what they might be saying to each other. This is how I came up with the story of Pepper Jones.
