A DAY OF TRAGEDY
Disaster Struck one awful day not do long ago
Many innocent lives were lost
Murdered by our foes
Questions were raised about the fact
That God had let us down
Where was He when we needed Him
Why wasn’t He around
All knowing, all seeing, all mighty
God never makes mistakes
For He in His “permissive will”
Knows just how much we can take
And He will restore this Nation
As He did with Israel
And we will once again be strong
For my God cannot fail!

Bet You Didn’t Know God Is A Poet is comprised of poems, inspirational messages to live by, memorials, and spiritual encouragement for all who believe in God’s Holy Word. It will lift the reader’s spirit and will provide courage throughout their daily living.

About the Author
Lillian Nelson Porter is a writer of inspirational poems, and messages. She was born in Wichita Falls, Texas and grew up in Denison, Texas. She lived her adult life in Los Angeles, California and Fort Worth, Texas. She received her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Theological Studies from Grace International Seminary Dallas, Texas. She has also written and directed the following Christian plays, “Walk Around Heaven All Day”: “If I Could Hear My Mother Pray Again” ; “The Ramp; A City Called Eternity” ; “A Return to my Heavenly Home”. Elder Porter also teaches bible history at Greater St. Mark Ministries Fort Worth, Texas where Bishop Dr. Mark Kirkland is the Senior Pastor.
