There comes a point in grief where you become numb. You’ve already had your cry and it was extensive. You’re mind has gone in circles for days trying to make sense of what has happened. You’ve held in the anger because you don’t want to unleash it on anyone (or not). Now you’re spent and not another single emotion is able to come out.
This is where I have envisioned Job at, and I know this place all too well. It’s that place where God sits back waiting for the hissy fit to be completed. Now He is waiting for you to be still and listen because He needs your attention. Now is the time when His still, small, whisper feeds into your heart. "I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with unfailing kindness.” This is what is spoken to me in the whisper.

About the Author
Maria Hasten grew up in St. Louis, Missouri. She moved to Colorado in 1996 with her husband and her son Christian.
Maria has been a christian nearly her entire life. She has a very grass roots approach to her faith and leans very heavily on the teaching of Jesus Christ for insight and guidance.
Maria finds joy and peace when visiting the Colorado Rocky Mountains. It is there she finds beauty and evidence of God’s creation.
